This year’s Grand Point North music festival will find hosts Grace Potter joined by the likes of The Flaming Lips, Mike Gordon, Shakey Graves, Greensky Bluegrass, Amy Helm & the Handsome Strangers, Marco Benevento, Spirit Family Reunion and more at Waterfront Park in Burlington, Vermont September 12 & 13. Today, organizers announced this year’s after parties and art installation.  The Sun Parade, along with Burlington surf-rockers The High Breaks, will perform at the Saturday night After Party at Nectar’s in Burlington at 11 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $5 at the door. Sunday night will feature Dark Side of the Mountain with special guests including members of Grace Potter, Kat Wright & the Indomitable Soul Band, Lendway and more. Tickets for both late night club shows are available via the festival’s website.

Grand Point Weird, curated by Grace Potter’s sister, Charlotte, will feature several installations by design collective Pneuhaus. The group focuses on designing objects and spaces that require an active participation from their audience; their work covers a wide range of fields ranging from experimental material explorations to functioning objects. For Grand Point Weird, the theme of the installations will focus on the idea of visualizing unseen phenomena, such as air, sound and light.
