Gov’t Mule Withstands Power Outage In Baton Rouge
By Scott Bernstein Feb 14, 2014 • 7:20 am PST

Following a first set that included a “Gameface” with “Mountain Jam” teasing and a “When The World Gets Small” with teases of Traffic’s “Glad,” fans weren’t sure the show would go on when the power went out. Thankfully the power was restored as Mule went on to open the second set with the Shout! track “Done Got Wise.” Three songs into the closing stanza Harris came out for a take on “John The Revelator.” Harris’s first appearance was followed by a version of “Beautifully Broken” that had a cover of Tom Petty’s “Breakdown” inserted in the middle. For the encore, Kevin Harris reemerged for “That’s What Love Will Make You Do” as well as a “Soulshine” that featured a reprise of “John The Revelator.”
