As we reported, Gov’t Mule has a very special New Year’s Eve performance in store for the Beacon Theatre in New York City. The group will honor The Band, the Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers Band and have announced the guests that will join them.
Following a pure Gov’t Mule show on December 30, New Year’s Eve will see the group perform a set as “Grateful Mule,” a tribute to the Grateful Dead, joined by special guests Steve Kimock and Lincoln Schleifer. The evening will also see Warren’s outfit play as “The Mule,” in honor of The Band, with special guest Larry Campbell, while a “The Allmule Brothers Band” set, in tribute to The Allman Brothers Band, will feature special guests Chuck Leavell, Jack Pearson and Paul Riddle.

The theme of the show is “New Year’s Jam” in honor of the historic 1973 Summer Jam concert in Watkins Glen, New York that featured The Band, the Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers Band. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster.
