Intimate Golden Road Festival Discloses 2024 Lineup Packed with Collaborative Acts

The 200-capacity three-day event will take place November 8 – 10 at Wonder Valley Ranch Resort in Sanger, California.

The all-inclusive Golden Road Festival detailed its initial 2024 artist lineup with a focus on inventive collaborations including tributes to the Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers Band. With attendance capped at 200, the immersive “micro-festival” will be held at Wonder Valley Ranch Resort in Sanger, California November 8 – 10.

Multi-instrumentalist Jason Crosby put together a supergroup dubbed “Jason Crosby’s Golden Road Festival All-Stars” exclusively for the event. Crosby will be joined in the ensemble by bassist Oteil Burbridge, guitarists John Kadlecik and Quinn Sullivan, saxophonist Dave Ellis, drummer John Morgan Kimock and vocalist Lamar Williams Jr. John Morgan Kimock and Jason Crosby will also deliver a set under the moniker “Spirit Guide.”

Pink Talking Fish will present their first West Coast Pink Talking Fish Are Dead set at the event, while Billy & The Kids bandmates Reed Mathis and Aron Magner will perform as “The Abbey Roads.” Additionally, The Disco Biscuits keyboardist will bring his SPAGA trio to the Golden Road Festival.

Friends of The Brothers will offer their tribute to the music of The Allman Brothers Band at the boutique festival with special guests Lamar Williams Jr., Quinn Sullivan and drummer Nikki Glaspie slated to sit-in. The event will also host “Jerry & Dawg Revisited” featuring guitarist Stu Allen and mandolinist Andrew Collins along with Garcia/Grisman Quartet members fiddler/percussionist Joe Craven and bassist Jim Kerwin.

The initial 2024 Golden Road Festival lineup is rounded out by Dave Ellis, David Gans and Jill Simmons linking up for an afternoon set, Mihali and the “One More Saturday Night Mega-Jam.” More artists and special guests will be announced soon.

In addition to the music, the three-day event will host a live broadcast of SiriusXM’s Tales From The Golden Road and Storytime With Author Alan Paul. Famed photographer Jay Blakesberg will serve as Camp Director.
