Gillian Welch & David Rawlings Add 6 Grateful Dead Acoustic Reckoning Shows

Gillian Welch and David Rawlings expanded their Grateful Dead Acoustic Reckoning Tour with six December dates in New York. The newly announced shows include three more performances at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester.

Welch and Rawlings will return to The Capitol Theatre on December 12, 13 and 18 after bringing the Grateful Dead tribute to the venue for a three-night stand in April. The pair will also play two nights at Bearsville Theater in Woodstock on December 15 and 16 and State Theatre of Ithaca on December 17.

The December run follows five previously announced Acoustic Reckoning shows taking place October 18 through 23 in Washington D.C., Baltimore, Richmond (Virginia), Roanoke (Virginia) and Asheville (North Carolina). Welch and Rawlings launched the project in April to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Grateful Dead’s 1981 live album Reckoning, mixing songs from the record with additional selections from the band’s repertoire.
