Get Well Soon | Alison Krauss Suffering From Vocal Ailment

Vocalist Alison Krauss has announced that she has pulled out of this weekend’s Wide Open Bluegrass event due to an issue with her voice. Krauss has been diagnosed with a vocal condition called dysphonia that will require her to rest her voice.

MedlinePlus defines dysphonia as “difficulty speaking due to spasms (dystonia) of the muscles that control the vocal cords.” We wish Krauss the best and hope she’s back in action soon. Alison and Union Station don’t currently have any other shows scheduled.
