Galactic & Dr. John Among Performers For Hollywood Bowl Allen Toussaint Tribute

The iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles will host Yes We Can: An Allen Toussaint Salute on July 20. A number of acts from Toussaint’s hometown of New Orleans will perform at the event along with The Allen Toussaint Band to honor the late musician and composer who died last November.
New Orleans funk band Galactic are on the bill for Yes We Can as is the legendary Dr. John and his Nite Trippers ensemble. Percussionist/vocalist Cyril Neville will be on board as a special guest with Irma Thomas, the “Soul Queen Of New Orleans” set to perform at the event as well. Dr. John, The Allen Toussaint Band and Galactic are each expected to celebrate Toussaint with their own sets and special guests.
