By Scott Bernstein Feb 13, 2017 9:55 am PST

On Saturday night, Colorado jamgrass act Yonder Mountain String Band played the famed Tabernacle in Atlanta. G. Love & Special Sauce kicked off the festivites in Atlanta and the group’s frontman sat-in with Yonder later in the evening.

YMSB opened with “It’s Hard To Be A Saint In The City” by Bruce Springsteen and “Sidewalk Stars” before they brought out G. Love to add harmonica to a cover of Dusty Springfield’s “Son Of A Preacher Man.” The five-piece then went on to finish “It’s Hard To Be A Saint In The City.” Yonder’s lengthy set included a mix of fan-favorite originals and covers with an “Angel” > “Life In The Fast Lane” > “Girlfriend Is Better” > “Angel” sequence standing out as a highlight.

Yonder Mountain String Band continues a run of co-bills with G. Love & Special Sauce on Thursday in New Orleans.
