Full Show Friday | Medeski, Scofield, Martin & Wood 2007

Next month John Scofield will reprise his long-running collaboration with Medeski, Martin and Wood for shows in San Francisco (June 17), Seattle (June 18), Bend (June 19), Vancouver (June 20), Saskatoon (June 21) and Edmonton (June 22). We’re getting psyched to see what the quartet has in store for their return and want to use this week’s Full Show Friday to look back a classic MSMW performance from 2007.

MSMW’s 65-minute set at Estival Jazz Lugano 2007 in Switzerland saw the quartet mix songs from 2006’s Out Louder with a pair of tracks from 1998’s A Go Go and a heaping helping of improvisation. There’s even a gorgeous cover of The Beatles’ “Julia” that will melt your heart. The set was filmed by multiple cameras the resulting footage is stunning. Take a peek:
