Last night Tedeschi Trucks Band‘s Wheels Of Soul Tour rolled through North Carolina for a stop at the Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh. The packaged tour features a full night of roots and blues music with sets from Hot Tuna, The Wood Brothers as well as the tour’s host band.

The Tedeschi Trucks Band opened the night with “Laugh About It” and “Don’t Know What It Means,” both from their most recent studio album Let Me Get By. From there 12-piece ensemble offered up an extended take on Derek & The Dominos’ “Anyday,” with “Made Up My Mind,” the title track from their 2013 release and the Allman Brothers Band classic “Ain’t Wastin’ No More Time” following.

Next up The Wood Brothers emerged to assist on a pair of covers returning the favor from earlier in the night when both Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi sat in with them for a take on their tune “Never & Always.” The augmented band ran through a version of Sean Costello’s “Have You No Shame,” as well as The Rolling Stones’ nugget “Sweet Virginia,” which was debuted earlier this summer.

The band followed that with takes on “Bound For Glory,” B.B. King’s “How Blue Can You Get,” and “I Want More.” The Tedeschi Trucks Band closed out the night with a double encore of Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland’s “Don’t Cry No More” and “Get What You Deserve.”
