Full Show Audio: Twiddle Helps Kick Off Catskill Chill
By Scott Bernstein Sep 23, 2016 • 1:02 pm PDT
Today marks the first full day of this year’s Catskill Chill music festival which is being held at New Minglewood in Lakewood, Pennsylvania. Yesterday, Catskill Chill hosted a pre-party featuring performances from Twiddle as well as Jimkata, Aqueous and Trakstar. An audience recording of Twiddle’s two sets has surfaced.
The Vermont jam quartet treated fans to a public soundcheck before embarking on a “Gatsby The Great” that spanned nearly 30 minutes. Thursday’s “Gatsby” contained a jam on Bela Fleck & The Flecktones’ “Big Country.” Twiddle’s improv-heavy performance continued with lengthy versions of “Amydst The Myst” and “Frankenfoot” ahead of a “Doinkinbonk” that featured Scott Hannay of Mister F sitting-in. Golden oldie “Subconscious Prelude” began a second set which also included fellow old school compositions “Brick Of Barley” and “Zazu’s Flight,” along with more recent numbers “Polluted Beauty” and “Cabbage Face.” Check out full audio of Twiddle’s Catskill Chill ’16 performance below.
