By Andy Kahn Dec 9, 2016 • 10:58 am PST
Following two shows in Sydney, Australia in which he performed several new songs, Ryan Adams this week revealed details of his new album Prisoner, which is slated for release next year. Audio from Adams’ concert on Tuesday at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre has surfaced featuring several of the songs that make up Prisoner.
Backed by a band composed of keyboardist Ben Alleman, drummer Nate Lotz, bassist Charlie Stavish and Grace Potter & The Nocturnals guitarist Benny Yurco, Adams performed seven of the 12 tracks that were recorded for the new LP. After opening with “Magnolia Mountain” and “Dirty Rain,” Adams and his band delivered the just released Prisoner single “Do You Still Love Me?”
The rest of the set featured fellow new cuts “Doomsday,” “To Be Without You,” “Breakdown,” “Outbound Train” “Haunted House” and the title track. Those selections were performed alongside well-known originals “Peaceful Valley,” “Let It Ride,” “Shakedown on 9th Street” and the encore “When The Stars Go Blue.” Give a listen to the show taped and shared by mgwfall below:
[Ed. note: Track 12 above is “Talk,” but was missing from the text file so all of the song titles after it are off by one track.]
