Full Set Audio: Perpetual Groove Goes Acoustic In Savannah

By Scott Bernstein Sep 21, 2016 1:00 pm PDT

The most extensive Perpetual Groove tour since the band reunited last year began over the weekend with a pair of shows at Lucas Theatre in Savannah, Georgia. PGroove also worked an additional performance into their plans last weekend as they went unplugged for a set on Saturday at Savannah’s Southbound Brewing Company.

Guitarist Brock Butler, keyboardist Matt McDonald, drummer Albert Suttle and bassist Adam Perry presented a set heavy on their most beloved songs including “Three Weeks,” “Sweet Oblivious Antidote” and “It Starts Where It Ends.” PGroove also treated attendees to a handful of covers, namely The Chemical Brothers’ “The Golden Path,” Paul Simon’s “I Know What I Know” and Talking Heads’ “This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody).” Taper Joel Hudson was on hand and has shared a crispy recording of the mostly acoustic set.
