Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl & Greg Kurstin Cover The Knack For ‘Hanukkah Sessions’

The penultimate edition of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and producer Greg Kurstin’s The Hanukkah Sessions video series has arrived. Grohl and Kurstin recorded a cover of The Knack’s “Frustrated” for night seven of their tribute to Jewish artists.

“Frustrated” was originally released by The Knack on their debut studio album, Get The Knack, in 1979. “Tonight we’re featuring 4 nice Jewish boys whose biggest hit was a song about a nice Jewish girl… ‘My Shalom-a’ or something like that… We’re huge fans of New Wave (as well as the “old wave” that came after Moses parted the Red Sea)…so we were psyched to get to cover one of our favorites…The Knack!” reads a note accompanying the video.

Once again, Grohl plays drums and sings on “Frustrated” as he has done on all previous installments of the series. Kurstin adds synth to the cover.
