Father John Misty & Jonathan Wilson Announce October Concerts In Big Sur

Wilson told JamBase he's currently working on producing a new Father John Misty album.

Father John Misty and longtime collaborator Jonathan Wilson will perform a pair of concerts outside the Henry Miller Memorial Library in Big Sur, California on October 10 and 11. The limited-capacity outdoor shows from (((folkYEAH!))) come as part of a celebration of the Henry Miller Memorial Library’s 40th anniversary.

Tickets go on sale today (Thursday, August 5) at 12 p.m. PT via FolkYeah.com. Attendees must show proof of vaccination or provide a negative COVID test result from within 48 hours of the show date to gain entry.

Wilson appeared on December 2020 episode of The JamBase Podcast and revealed he’s working with Josh Tillman on a new Father John Misty album. No other details have been announced thus far.

The celebration of the Henry Miller Memorial Library’s 40th anniversary also includes a pair of Patti Smith Trio: Words & Music performances on September 6 and 7. While the 6th is sold out, limited tickets remain for the 7th.
