Erykah Badu & The Alchemist Announce North American Abi & Alan Tour Dates

Erykah Badu and The Alchemist will come together in August for a series of joint tour dates. The Abi & Alan Tour added stops in 10 North American cities following three previously confirmed shows in Japan.

The Abi & Alan Tour takes its name from Erykah Abi Badu and Alan “The Alchemist” Maman and also serves as the title of a pending collaborative album. Badu and The Alchemist recently shared the joint single, “Next To You.”

A three-show run kicking off The Abi & Alan Tour in Japan is currently underway with additional sold-out shows in Tokyo on Saturday (June 28) and in Yokohama on Monday (June 30). The tour features Badu’s backing band The Cannabinoids.

The tour’s North American leg begins on August 8 in Seattle. Colorado will host concerts in Aspen on August 10 and Denver on August 11. Shows continue in Minneapolis on August 13, in Toronto on August 15 and in Silver Spring, Maryland on August 17.

Two stops in Florida follow with performances in Miami on August 19 and Orlando on August 20. The run moves on to Charlotte, North Carolina on August 21. Badu’s native Texas will host the tour’s final concert on August 24 in Austin.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, June 27 at 10 a.m. local venue time.
