Elephant Revival Among Latest Newport Folk Festival Additions

The continuously expanding lineup for the 2015 Newport Folk Festival now also includes the newly added Elephant Revival. The Nederland, Colorado quintet have been confirmed to perform Friday, July 24. Founded in 1959, the Newport Folk Festival will be held at Fort Adams State Park Friday, July 24 to Sunday, July 26.
Yesterday’s Newport Folk Festival lineup addition was bassist Tommy Stinson (The Replacements, GNR) who will perform with Luther Dickinson, Catherine Popper and Frank Ferrer. Elephant Revival and Tommy Stinson join a Newport lineup that already included Iron & Wine and Ben Bridwell, The Decemberists, First Aid Kit, Sturgill Simpson, J Mascis, Blake Mills, Courtney Barnett, The Barr Brothers and many more.
