Last March, Eddie Vedder brought his family to Japan for a vacation and the trip seems to have left an impression on the Pearl Jam frontman. Vedder, who made a guest appearance with Jack White in Tokyo during his time in the Asian country, will return to the “Land of the Rising Sun” this April for his first-ever solo tour of Japan.
The four-city trek begins at Forest Hall in Nagoya on April 14. Vedder then hits Osaka on April 16 and Kyoto on April 17 before he ends the brief tour at Tokyo’s Garden Theater on April 20. The April tour offers “Japanese audiences a unique opportunity to experience Eddie’s solo work and career-spanning material in a theater setting,” as per an announcement of the run.
Eddie Vedder hasn’t embarked on a solo tour since 2019. Vedder has devoted his time outside Pearl Jam over the past four years to performing with his Earthlings band. The musician last toured Japan with Pearl Jam in 2003.
Pearl Jam’s 2026 plans remain unclear. The Seattle-based rockers will need a new drummer after Matt Cameron departed Pearl Jam last July. Cameron had been behind the kit for the group since 1998.
Tickets for all four dates go on sale to the general public tomorrow, January 14 at 10 a.m. JST here. Members of Pearl Jam’s Ten Club will be able to access a dedicated presale.
