On Thursday night Eddie Vedder headlined the Hot Stove, Cool Music benefit at The Metro in Chicago. Last night Vedder attended a party for sponsors of the event and wound up hopping on-stage to sing a The Who classic with a local cover band.

The Chicago Tribune reports the party took place at Freedom Boat Club at Montrose Harbor, where the Pearl Jam front man sang “I Can’t Explain” with local band Expo ’76. Eddie also brought his brothers on-stage to sing both of them “Happy Birthday” as one was celebrating the occasion that day while the other has a birthday today.
