Jimmy Kimmel Live continued to showcase original music from the biggest films of 2025 on Wednesday with a performance led by Ed Sheeran. The pop star teamed with guitarists John Mayer and Blake Slatkin, bassist Pino Palladino, drummer Dave Grohl, keyboardist Rami Jaffee and two backing vocals to play “Drive,” a song Sheeran contributed to the F1 soundtrack.

The performance marked the debut live version of “Drive” and the first time the all-star ensemble played together in public. Ed Sheeran was on electric guitar for the bombastic performance. Clips from the film were displayed behind the musicians.

F1 and its accompanying soundtrack arrived in June. Chris Stapleton, Madison Beer, Peggy Gou, Roddy Ricch and Obongjayar are among other artists who contributed to the 17-track set.

Ed Sheeran is headed down under to begin his Loop Tour with dates in Australia and New Zealand. Sheeran will bring the stadium excursion to North America later this year.
