Dweezil Zappa Jams With 11-Year-Old Guitarist In Denver

On Sunday night guitarist Dweezil Zappa and the band formerly known as Zappa Plays Zappa played the Ogden Theatre in Denver, Colorado as part of the Cease & Desist Tour. Towards the end of the night 11-year-old guitarist Evan Weant had the thrill of a lifetime, when Dweezil brought the talented youngster on stage to jam with the band.
Weant won a contest for a guitar lesson from Zappa and impressed Dweezil enough that he welcomed the prodigy back during the actual show in Denver. Dweezil let Evan use his signature Gibson SG for duration of the guest spot. Zappa had his band jam on A at which point Weant let it rip. At various points Dweezil would stand behind Evan and add his own flair to the solo. The crowd went wild throughout the sit-in.
