On February 5, ANTI- Records will release a re-recorded and fully fleshed-out edition of Dr. Dog’s 2001 experimental, lo-fi debut album The Psychedelic Swamp. Today, the band has shared an official video for the LP’s lead single, “Bring My Baby Back,” which premiered via Consequence of Sound.

The original lineup of the Philadelphia-based rock band appears on the new record which was originally issued on cassette, resulting in a scarcity of official copies of the debut effort that has largely only circulated as unofficial bootlegs. The band’s bassist/vocalist Toby Leaman shared the following statement regarding the new video, which can be viewed below:

I was a little nervous working with Zach (Miller) for the first time because he’s so good in those Pixar movies. But I just did the magic trick of looking him right in the eyes and screaming ‘Action!’ And I realize now, after re-watching some of my earlier classics, that my entire oeuvre has been merely a prelude to this, my personal masterpiece. Also, I couldn’t have picked a songwriter I’m more personally attached to. What a ride. With love, T. L.

Dr. Dog returns to the road for lengthy run of shows beginning January 29 at The Observatory in Santa Ana, California.
