Back in 2001 Dr. Dog issued their debut album entitled The Psychedelic Swamp, and up until now the experimental, lo-fi recording originally released as a cassette has remained difficult to find outside of unofficial copies currently circulating. The original lineup of the Philadelphia-based folk-rockers has announced they will re-issue a re-recorded and fully fleshed out edition of The Psychedelic Swamp via ANTI- Records later this year.

ANTI- will issue the newly recorded The Psychedelic Swamp on February 5. The band shared a new single, not originally included on the 2001 LP, “Bring My Baby Back,” which was premiered by Vulture.

“This song is filled with things that nobody knew what to do with but just didn’t have the heart to throw away,” bassist/vocalist Toby Leaman told Vulture. “It’s like climbing out from the bottom of a junk drawer three stories deep, a veritable ascent into maelstrom.”
