Following a concert at Jones Beach in New York back in August, The Doobie Brothers headed down to NPR headquarters in Washington D.C. to capture a Tiny Desk Concert. The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame band delivered a trio of their hits along with a song off their 2025 album, Walk This Road.

Walk This Road arrived on June 6 via Rhino. The new record saw a reunion of living members Patrick Simmons, Tom Johnston, John McFee and Michael McDonald.

The four musicians were on hand for The Doobie’s Tiny Desk Concert. The band also consisted of John Cowan (bass), Marc Russo (sax), Marc Quinones (percussion) and Ed Toth (drums).

The session got underway with the 1976 Michael McDonald-led anthem, “Takin’ It To The Streets,” followed by a sing-along on 1974’s “Black Water.” The band then touched on Walk This Road with “Angels & Mercy” before wrapping the session with 1972’s “Listen To The Music.”
