The Disco Biscuits launched the inaugural Peach At The Beach event in Atlantic City, New Jersey with a late-night show on Friday at Bourbon Ballroom. Samples of the “Boy Man God Shit” lyrics from the Phish classic “You Enjoy Myself” were weaved into a mid-second set performance of “Photograph.”
Peach At The Beach took place at the Island Water Park, which like the Bourbon Ballroom is part of the Showboat Resort. Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Dogs In A Pile, Trouble No More, Karina Rykman and Mykal Rose each performed at the gathering of The Peach Music Festival community on Saturday. While Bisco kicked off the event with a The Peach After Dark pre-party, Marco Benevento and Doom Flamingo closed out the event on Saturday night at Bourbon Ballroom.

The Disco Biscuits have been working samples from a variety of artists over the past few months. On Friday, the livetronica act looked to one of the biggest influences for samples. Phish has played “You Enjoy Myself” more than any other song in their history. The iconic “Boy,” “Man,” “God” and “Shit” lyrics from “YEM” were fit towards the beginning of the 18-minute version of “Photograph” in Atlantic City.
“Photograph” was debuted by the Disco Biscuits in June of 2023. The version performed on Friday was the 19th since the song was premiered. Bisco’s “Photograph” in AC came during a second set bookended by “Morph Dusseldorf.” The beginning of the oldie led into “Another Spin,” which gave way to the “Little Shimmy In A Conga Line” that introduced “Photograph.” Both the “Little Shimmy” and “Strobelights & Martinis” surrounding “Photograph” were inverted.

The Disco Biscuits bookended the first set with “Svenghali.” Fan-favorite “Spacematingcall” emerged out of the opener ahead of recently debuted original “Buy The Time” and a cover of Fisher’s “Losing It.” Both sets were seamless and “Losing It” bled into the end of “Svenghali.”
The quartet’s summer tour resumes tonight, July 15 at The Windjammer in Isle of Palms, South Carolina. It’s then off to Thornville, Ohio for this weekend’s Secret Dreams festival.
