The Disco Biscuits Cover ‘Let’s Go Crazy’ In Atlanta
By Scott Bernstein Apr 22, 2016 • 7:40 am PDT
The Disco Biscuits played a SweetWater 420 Fest pre-party last night at Terminal West in Atlanta. The jamtronica quartet kicked off the show with a well-jammed tribute to Prince who died earlier in the day.
Right out of the gates tDB honored Prince by performing “Let’s Go Crazy.” The Disco Biscuits had only covered the Prince classic once before, on February 21, 2014 at the Electric Factory in their hometown of Philadelphia. The band added their own touch with an untz-y jam before seguing into “Munchkin Invasion.” “King Of The World” came next and gave way to the ending of “Basis For A Day” ahead of the “Kitchen Mitts” first set closer. The second set featured a mix of “Voices Insane,” “I-Man” and “Tricycle” with multiple reprises of “Voices Insane” and “I-Man.” Bisco said farewell with a “Story Of The World” encore. The Disco Biscuits play the Main Stage at the SweetWater 420 Fest today in Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park and then head back to Terminal West for a late-night performance.
