Dean Ween Shares Bernie Worrell Tribute & Video Of Keyboardist’s Sit-In With Ween Emerges

Earlier this month The Dean Ween Group opened for The Claypool Lennon Delirium at Nelson Ledges in Ohio. Legendary keyboardist Bernie Worrell was supposed to be the band’s special guest along with fellow Parliament-Funkadelic alum Michael “Kidd Funkadelic” Hampton. As we reported, when Bernie’s failing health led him to cancel his appearance the DWG and Hampton turned the set into a tribute of sorts to Worrell.
Today, Deaner has shared audio of The DWG and Michael Hampton’s cover of Funkadelic’s “Promentalshitbackwashpsychosis Enema Squad (The Doo Doo Chasers)” from the June 17th performance:
Bernie Worrell sat-in with Ween once on September 26, 2003 at the Greek in Berkeley. Worrell added to a jam out of the Ween original “Pandy Fackler.” Check out video of the sit-in that recently surfaced:
Here’s audio of the entire “Pandy Fackler” shared by Boognish Monster:
