Deadheadland Purim Livestream Special: Lebo, Leslie Mendelson, Scott Law & More

Deadheadland will present a livestream concert and celebration in honor of the Jewish holiday Purim. Lebo (Dan Lebowitz), Leslie Mendelson and Scott Law are among the artists participating in the special, which begins at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT on Sunday, February 28.
Scott Guberman, Jordan Feinstein, Ezra Lipp, Jeannette Ferber and Mookie Siegel round out the confirmed list of performers. Wendy Garf-Lipp will lead the celebration featuring Deadheadland’s own Happycat as host.

A “Grateful” reading of the Story of Ester will be presented through words and song. The virtual gathering/livestreamed concert event will also feature an online costume contests and other surprises. Children of all ages are welcome and encouraged to join in.
Prizes will be awarded for best costumes in the following categories: Classic Purim Character, Grateful Dead Character, Grateful Dead Song/Purim Mashup, Best Adult In Costume and Best Kid In Costume. Tickets are available via Eventbrite. A portion of proceeds will benefit Shalom Bayit. Those who purchase tickets with a recommended donation of $18 will receive a booklet with the story to follow along, hamantashen recipes and info on how to participate from home including a Zoom link.
