Dawes shared a new single, “Still Strangers Sometimes.” The track is set for the band’s upcoming studio album, Oh Brother, due out on October 11.
The aptly named Oh Brother sees Dawes co-founders and siblings Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith entering a new chapter for the band following the amicable departure of longtime members Wylie Gelber and Lee Pardini in 2023.
“…I like the fact that Griffin and I are kind of clinging to each other and holding on to each other more than we ever have,” Taylor stated upon announcing Oh Brother. “We’re grateful for each other in a new way. But we’ve also been through a lot.”

Dawes previously shared the Oh Brother single “House Parties” and now follow with “Still Strangers Sometimes.”
“It’s a song about the spiritual investigation of long-term relationships,” Taylor explained. “How a part of ourselves will be unknowable forever, despite our deep connections and intimate understandings of each other.”
