David Byrne Unveils Spanish-Language Take On ‘Who Is The Sky’ Track & Tour Dates In Mexico

David Byrne added Mexico dates to his Who Is The Sky World Tour 2026. The former Talking Heads frontman also released “¿Cuál Es La Razón?” — a Spanish-language rendition of Who Is The Sky? cut “What Is The Reason For It?”

“¿Cuál Es La Razón?” features Grammy-winning Mexican artist Natalia Lafourcade. Produced by Mexican Institute of Sound, the reimagining is described in press materials as “a vocal and brass-led remix, drawing inspiration from David’s experiences in Mexico City and the enduring mysteries of love.”

Fresh off bringing his acclaimed Who Is The Sky? show to Coachella, David Byrne continues his world tour around the record in the U.S. this spring before heading back to Europe for the summer followed by a trek through Asia.

Byrne returns to North America in September for a trio of newly announced dates in Mexico and U.S. shows. Kicking off at Mexico City’s Teatro Metropólitan on September 4, the run across Mexico also includes stops in Guadalajara and Monterrey.

A presale for the Mexico dates begins Thursday, April 30 at 11 a.m. local. General on sales start Friday, May 1 at 10 a.m. local.
