David Byrne recently resumed his Who Is The Sky North American Tour in support of Who Is The Sky?, the Talking Heads co-founder’s latest solo album. Byrne brought members of his touring ensemble to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and performed “When We Are Singing.”
Byrne sat for an interview with host Stephen Colbert, as friend and fellow guest, comedian John Mulaney, was seated next to him. Byrne briefly discussed Talking Heads songs that are part of the current tour’s setlist and described using footage of ICE agents in Chicago while performing “Life During Wartime” in concert.
Another song that is part of Byrne’s current live setlist, “When We Are Singing” appeared on Who Is The Sky?, which came out last September. The Who Is The Sky Tour heads to the Pacific Northwest for shows in Vancouver and Portland before making its way to California for appearances at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, followed by additional months of shows.
