Watch David Byrne’s Theatrical ‘This Is A Life’ Oscars Performance With Stephanie Hsu & Son Lux

David Byrne was among the performers at Sunday’s 95th Academy Awards ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Byrne was joined by Son Lux (the project led by Ryan Lott) and actor Stephanie Hsu on the Best Original Song-nominee “This Is A Life,” from the Best Picture-winning feature film, Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Son Lux wrote the Oscar-nominated score for Everything Everywhere All At Once and helmed the 49-track soundtrack that featured Byrne, André 3000, Randy Newman and others. Mitski, who co-wrote “This Is A Life” with Byrne and Lott, also appeared on the soundtrack version of the song, along with Byrne.

Hsu, who co-starred in Everything Everywhere All At Once, performed Mitski’s part at last night’s Oscars ceremony. In addition to Best Picture, the film’s directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert won Best Director and Best Original Screenplay Oscars, while the film’s star Michelle Yeoh won Best Actress and co-stars Ke Huy Quan won Best Supporting Actor and Jamie Lee Curtis won Best Supporting Actress.
