Dave Matthews Premieres New Song ‘Take All Day’ At SPAC

“I don’t know if it’s smart – but I don’t think I’ve ever played this song before.”

For the penultimate song of Dave Matthews Band’s two-night run at Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) in Saratoga Springs, New York, frontman Dave Matthews went solo for a new original debut. Matthews kicked off the finale with the first public performance of “Take All Day.”

Matthews regularly takes the stage alone at the start of DMB encores, and continued the trend Saturday at SPAC. Matthews stood a center stage with his acoustic guitar and briefly addressed the audience.

“Thank you for being so generous to us,” Matthews began. “So, this – I don’t know if it’s smart – but I don’t think I’ve ever played this song before, because I made it up. But if you’ll indulge me, I will try and get this song.”

Matthews then delivered his first public performance of the tender love song, “Take All Day.” See how the song debut occurred at SPAC via the video footage below:
