Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and producer Greg Kurstin joined forces for The Hanukkah Sessions series. The pair will release a cover of a song by one of “eight famous Jewish artists” on each night of Hanukkah, which begins this evening and ends on Friday, December 18.

“With all the mishegas of 2020, Greg Kurstin and I were kibbitzing about how we could make Hannukah extra-special this year,” reads a note from Grohl accompanying an announcement video. “Festival of Lights?! How about a festival of tasty LICKS! So hold on to your tuchuses… we’ve got something special coming for your shayna punims.”

Greg Kurstin produced the forthcoming Foo Fighters album, Medicine At Midnight. Kurstin also worked with the band on 2017’s Concrete And Gold. Medicine At Midnight is due out through Roswell Records/RCA on February 5, 2021.
