Foo Fighters were the musical guest on Thursday’s episode of A Late Show With Stephen Colbert. An expanded version of the band performed their new single after host Stephen Colbert conducted a video chat with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.
Grohl revealed the Foo Fighters had many plans in place this year to celebrate their 25th anniversary that were scrapped due to the pandemic. “We went so far as to make a 25th anniversary Foo Fighters Coors Light can,” Dave explained before showing off a can of the brew. Colbert went on to ask Grohl about his “drum battle” with British youngster Nandi Bushell. “Sometimes you just have to admit defeat,” Dave said about the experience.

Foo Fighters assembled in a rehearsal space to film a performance of “Shame Shame” that premiered on last night’s Colbert. “Shame Shame,” which was recently debuted by the band on Saturday Night Live, is the first single from the group's forthcoming Medicine At Midnight album. The LP is set for release on February 5, 2021 via Roswell Records/RCA.
