Dan Auerbach & Robert Finley Share ‘Bang Bang’ Single From ‘Murder Ballads’ Soundtrack

Dan Auerbach and Robert Finley are featured on the soundtrack to the graphic novel Murder Ballads. The pair of musicians have shared their recording of the track “Bang Bang,” one of four they wrote and recorded together for the release coming out on August 8.

Written by Auerbach’s friend Gabe Soria and illustrated by Christopher Hunt and Paul Reinwand, Murder Ballads was issued by Mondo and Z2 Comics and “follows the fall and reinvention of Nate Theodore, the dead-broke and deadbeat owner of a failed record label who is on a cross-country drive in the dead of winter with his wife Mary, fleeing the wreckage of their business and heading towards the destruction of their marriage.”

Auerbach and Finley recorded at the former’s Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville. They also previously posted their cover of “In The Pines,” a traditional blues number brought to prominence by Lead Belly. Stream “Bang Bang” and “In The Pines” below:
