The Black Keys’ frontman Dan Auerbach has revealed details of Yours, Dreamily, the debut album of his new side project The Arcs. The group featuring Auerbach alongside Leon Michels, Richard Swift, Homer Steinweiss, Nick Movshon, Kenny Vaughan and Mariachi Flor de Toloache will release their first record on September 4 via Nonesuch Records.

Co-produced by Auerbach and Michels, Yours, Dreamily was tracked in roughly two weeks through spontaneous, informal recording sessions across the U.S. at the Sound Factory in Los Angeles, the Diamond Mine in Queens, Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound in Nashville and in a lounge room at Electric Lady in New York City. Engineer Tchad Blake mixed the record on his horse farm in Wales.

In April Auerbach shared two songs from Yours, Dreamily as a 7-inch single that included “Stay In My Corner” and “Tomato Can,” which were inspired by the Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao boxing match. At that time Auerbach detailed part of what spurred the project, telling Rolling Stone:

“I just wanted to do my thing and get extra weird, I wanted everything to flow [and] be cohesive. A lot of the songs bleed one into the other, a lot like the Grateful Dead – my favorite records that they did. So I’ve got a lot of connected songs. It’s basically everything I love about music all wrapped up into one.”
