Crazy Horse Bassist Suffers Mild Stroke | Tour To Continue

On July 7 Neil Young & Crazy Horse will kickoff a European Tour in Reykjavik, Iceland without an important member on board. The band’s label, Warner Brothers, has announced that bassist Billy Talbot recently suffered a mild stroke. Thankfully, Talbot is expected to make a full recovery, just not in time for the group’s upcoming tour.

Rick Rosas, a bassist who has tour extensively with many of Young’s projects in the past, has been called upon to join Neil & Crazy Horse for the upcoming tour. In addition, today’s statement reveals that backing vocalists Dorene Carter and YaDonna West will also be part of the Crazy Horse lineup for the upcoming tour. Neil Young & Crazy Horse were forced to cancel a number of dates last summer due to guitarist Frank “Poncho” Sampedro’s hand injury.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Talbot on a speedy recovery.
