Cover Alert | Vulfpeck Plays Steely Dan Reelin In The Years

Ann Arbor, Michigan funk act Vulfpeck have been winning raves from many corners of the blogosphere thanks to their high-energy live performances and inventive sound. On Saturday the quartet performed in the streets of Belleaire, Michigan as part of the 11th anniversary party for Short’s Brewing Company. Vulfpeck’s set included a cover of one of the band’s that inspired them -Steely Dan.

Vulfpeck take a straight forward approach to their cover of Steely Dan’s “Reelin’ In The Years,” though with only one guitarist Theo Katzman harmonizes with keyboardist Woody Goss and his own voice to provide the song’s familiar double lead.
