Cover Alert | Ryan Montbleau & Galactic Cover Paul Simon

Galactic opened for Widespread Panic at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion in Boston last night, where they invited up an old friend and local favorite for a Paul Simon cover at the end of their set.

Singer-songwriter Ryan Montbleau came out for Galactic’s final song of the evening to provide vocals for a cover of “50 Ways To Leave Your Lover.” The two acts first teamed for the cover back on Jam Cruise 10 in early 2012 and have performed it a handful of times since. Galactic’s Ben Ellman produced what may be the final Ryan Montbleau Band album, which is due this summer. Take a listen to last night’s version of “50 Ways” thanks to an audience recording from Ted Gakidis:

Galactic’s Stanton Moore came out later in the evening during Widespread Panic’s set for “Drumz.”
