Cover Alert | Frequinox Tackles White Lines

Frequinox brings together the talents of Rob Mercurio (Galactic), Will Bernard (Critters Buggin’), Stanton Moore (Galactic), Donald Harrison and Robert Walter. The band recently played a late night show at the Blue Nile in New Orleans, where they performed a classic hip-hop cover that warns about the ills of drug addiction.

Grandmaster Melle Mel’s 1983 gem “White Lines (Don’t Don’t Do It)” has been ripe as a cover choice ever since it was released and we particularly dig Frequinox’s instrumental take on the tune. Our pal Paul Giza captured Frequinox’s cover of “White Lines” at Blue Nile. Take a look:
