Circles Around The Sun Announce Scott Metzger’s Departure

CATS also announced John Lee Shannon will step into the guitarist role.

Circles Around the Sun announced Scott Metzger’s departure from the band. Metzger has played guitar with CATS since late 2019.

Metzger — who other projects include Joe Russo’s Almost Dead — hopped aboard with CATS for their 2019 New Year’s Eve run in Colorado, which followed a fall tour on which Eric Krasno playing guitar with Circles Around The Sun. Both musicians stepped into the guitarist role after founding guitarist Neal Casal sadly died by suicide on August 26, 2019.

CATS also announced that John Lee Shannon will now take over on guitar in a statement also announcing Metzger’s departure posted to social media. Read it below:
