Chris Thile Covers The Fearless Flyers On ‘Live From Here’

Earlier this year, Vulfpeck offshoot The Fearless Flyers released The Fearless Flyers II, a studio album that featured special guest Chris Thile on a pair of tracks including “Daddy, He Got A Cessna.” Thile led the house band on a performance of a cover of the song on Saturday’s episode of Live From Here.

“Daddy, He Got A Cessna” provided the instrumental break at the end of the first half of an episode that featured Paul Simon, Anaïs Mitchell, Vagabon, and comedians Ron Funches and Holly Laurent. Thile has long been a fan of Vulfpeck and uses the band’s “Fugue State” as the theme song for Live From Here. Chris was among the group’s guests during their recent Madison Square Garden concert in New York City.
