Paul Simon, Anais Mitchell, Vagabon & Others Perform On ‘Live From Here’

Paul Simon was among the guests on Saturday’s episode of Chris Thile’s public radio program Live From Here. Other guests performing at Town Hall in New York City included Anaïs Mitchell, Vagabon, and comedians Ron Funches and Holly Laurent.

Simon, who last month canceled a previously scheduled Live From Here appearance, performed twice during Saturday’s simulcast. Joined onstage by Thile, Mitchell and the house band, Simon first played “Questions For The Angels” from his 2011 album So Beautiful Or So What. Simon then performed “St. Judy’s Comet” from his 1973 album There Goes Rhymin’ Simon. Later in the show, Simon again pulled from that record, offering takes on his classics “American Tune” and “Kodachrome.”

Mitchell, the Tony Award winner who is one-third of Bonny Light Horseman, performed with Thile and the band throughout the episode. Vagabon’s appearance included songs from her excellent self-titled new album. For a limited time [until Saturday, November 30], the entire episode can be viewed below:
