Lorde & Charli XCX Work It Out On The Remix In L.A.

Lorde’s The Ultrasound World Tour took over The Kia Forum near Los Angeles on Saturday night. The concert featured a surprise appearance by Charli XCX, who again joined Lorde on a performance of the song, “Girl, so confusing featuring lorde.”

The track “Girl, so confusing” appeared on Charli XCX’s 2024 album, Brat, and included lyrics that elicited a response from Lorde. The pair took that reply and worked it into the lyrics of “Girl, so confusing featuring lorde,” a reworking of the song that was included on the Brat remix album entitled Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat.

Among the lyrics sung by Lorde in the updated version of the song was the self-referential line, “Let’s work it out on the remix.” Lorde was Charli XCX’s special guest during her September 2024 concert at Madison Square Garden where they also performed the remix.

Lorde stood alone on the small B-stage setup near the soundboard at the rear of The Forum when “Girl, so confusing featuring lorde” started. The massive video screen on the main stage then showed Charli XCX being escorted through the crowd on her way to join Lorde for the completion of their collaborative song.
