Beastie Boys' Mike D will deliver a handful of rare live performances in Los Angeles and New York City this month. News of the shows follows recent performances of Beastie Boys songs with his sons’ band Very Nice Person.
In April, Mike D teamed with his sons to perform Beastie classics “So What’cha Want” and “Looking Down The Barrel Of A Gun.” He also teased new music. Check out clips via DJ Mag below:
“Los Angeles and Brooklyn. It’s happening. Shows. New music. Switch Up. Let’s Go,” Mike D wrote on Instagram.
The run kicks off tonight (May 7) at Plaza Night Club And Dance Hall in L.A. Mike D will then make the short trip to Pasadena, California for a show at Sid The Cat Auditorium on May 10.
Mike D will close out the U.S. stint with a two-night stand back in his native NYC. The hip-hop legend will perform at Xanadu in Brooklyn on May 22 and 23 before heading to Paris in June.
