By Scott Bernstein Aug 7, 2015 • 10:20 am PDT

Last night Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band helped Jon Stewart close out his lengthy and illustrious tenure as host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show. The Boss and his core band performed two songs including “Born To Run” at the end of Thursday’s finale.

With that Jon said he had one final “Moment Of Zen” for the show at which point Bruce Springsteen and members of the E Street Band performed both “Land Of Hopes & Dreams” and portions of “Born To Run.” Watch how it went down:
The last time Bruce helped a late night host end their run was in 1993, when he appeared on David Letterman’s final episode as host of Late Night. Springsteen and the E Street Band hadn’t performed together publicly in over a year before last night’s appearance. Bruce’s performance was just the end of a wonderful final episode featuring many of the program’s former and current correspondents including Steven Colbert, Steve Carrell and Ed Helms. Head here to watch the entire final episode.
