Veteran rocker Bruce Springsteen was recently a guest at The White House. The Boss performed an unannounced acoustic set for President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and several members of The White House Staff.

According to a report on the Springsteen fan site Backstreets, about 200 to 250 White House workers were in attendance for the 15-song set on January 12. Bruce performed alone for the majority of the career-spanning appearance but was joined by his wife and E Street Band member Patti Scialfa on “Tougher Than The Rest” which was dedicated to the Obamas and the subsequent “If I Should Fall Behind.”

Bruce also played favorites such as “Thunder Road,” “Born In The U.S.A.,” “The Ghost Of Tom Joad,” “Dancing In The Dark,” “Land of Hope And Dreams” and others including “My Father’s House” and “The Wish.” Head here for a full report on The Boss at The White House.
