Legendary rocker Bruce Springsteen has postponed the remaining eight concerts he was scheduled to play with the E Street Band over the remainder of September while he undergoes treatment for symptoms of peptic ulcer disease. Springsteen announced the news in a note posted to his Instagram page.

The Boss made the decision under advice from his medical advisors. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band recently concluded a three-show run in East Rutherford, New Jersey and were expected to continue their 2023 International Tour tonight in Syracuse, New York.

“Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows,” Springsteen wrote. “First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support.”

Springsteen ended his message with, “We’ll be back soon. Love and God bless all.”

The postponement of the remaining September shows marks the third time this year has needed to delay shows. Dates in both March and August were postponed due to illness. Springsteen’s August shows in Philadelphia were rescheduled for August 2024.

In addition to the Syracuse date, affected shows include stops in Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Uncasville (Connecticut), Albany, Columbus and Washington D.C. Ticketholders will be advised of the rescheduled dates. The tour is now expected to resume with a run through Canada that begins on November 3 in Vancouver.
