Bonnaroo Announces 2013 Comedy Lineup, Web Series

COMEDY LINEUP AT THE COMEDY THEATRE HOSTED BY IFC

Superfly and A.C Entertainment are proud to announce that the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival has confirmed an exceptional comedy lineup to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the festival’s hugely popular Comedy Theatre. In keeping with tradition, Bonnaroo, which will take place on its 700-acre farm in Manchester, TN, from June 13 – 16, will host a vibrant and diverse collection of national headlining comics at its inimitable air-conditioned venue, where fans lineup to get a chance to commune with some of the most hilarious personalities working today. Like the music programming, festival organizers always strive to do things a little bit differently as they look for ways to present performances you won’t experience anywhere else. In light of that, for its 10th year, Bonnaroo will bring back some festival veterans as well as welcome plenty of up and coming new faces to the Bonnaroo Comedy Theatre Hosted by IFC. Appearing this year, among others, will be: Daniel Tosh, Bob Saget, David Cross, Maria Bamford, Mike Birbiglia, Ed Helms’ Whisky Sour Radio Hour, Comedy Bang!Bang! With Scott Aukerman and Reggie Watts, Chris Gethard, Michael Che, Nikki Glaser, James Adomian and more.

Not only is Bonnaroo, 24/7 during the festival, it’s also 365 days a year via its YouTube Channel, where exclusive Bonnaroo-approved original content can be seen on demand. Today, March 28, marks the premiere date for a new comedy web series called Universally Speaking, available here. In this series, Rob Cantrell receives life council from inanimate objects who communicate messages from the universe and advise him how to handle the challenges of everyday life in Brooklyn, NY. His issues range from lady problems, money issues to mourning a recently deceased pet. The show features guest comedians as various objects, including: Greer Barns, Anthony Atamanuik, Kurt Metzger, Marina Franklin, Robin Montague and Dan Soder. All episodes directed by Dan Powell (Ugly Americans, Inside Amy Schumer).
